Newsletter-Classroom 3

The classroom is always active with many activities going on at the same time.  The sensory table was filled with water, funnels, and waterway pipe building.  Crayon resist art and Painting with watercolors.  Crayon resist you say?  Resist means that the crayon will repel the watercolor away from it.  I asked the children to write their names with the white crayon and it was like magic.

On Monday we had the opportunity to play Chess game’s with Ms. Anna’s class to help us keep on practicing chess and learning more strategies with them for math games.  What a great way to connect our minds!!

We started our new book Princess Pulverizer grilled cheese and dragons by Nancy Krulik   Princess Serena or as she prefers Princess Pulverizer doesn’t want to be a princess- she wants to be a knight!!  She tries convincing the King that she would be better at being a knight and the King was trying to convince the Princess that they are two of the same.  Try again King, this Princess is not convinced.

Books we read this week:

Believe Me, I Never Felt A Pea  by Nancy Loewen

Such A Prince by Dan Bar-el

The Second Princess by Hiawyn Oram and Tony Ross

Kite Day by Will Hillenbrand

The Reluctant Dragon by Kenneth Grahame

The Berenstain Bears We Like Kites

I want to thank you all for coming to conferences and being a part of your child’s journey of learning.

Please look for my e-mail with all the information needed for this upcoming week of activities to do with your child.

Thank you all for continuing to read, explore,  and play math games at home.

Sincerely,

Ms. Demetra
