Dear Parents,
This week in our classroom, we had much fun and learned so much! Here’s a quick look at what we’ve been up to:
We finished Owl Diaries a Trip to the Pumpkin Farm by Rebecca Elliott. We had great discussions about the characters and their adventures at the pumpkin farm. Eva the owl and her owl friends take a field trip to Poppy’s Pumpkin Farm. Can your child tell you about the story and all the animals? How many bones does a chicken have in its neck than a giraffe? Why does a goat sneeze? How far can a cow smell? Most importantly, what happened to the Thank-you Pumpkin? Where did it go? Did they find the pumpkin? You can always YouTube the story and view it with your child.
Kandinsky Abstract art
One of the most notable works is “Concentric Circles and Squares” which conveys emotion and uses geometric shapes, specifically circles and squares. You can see our class working with colors and music to make their own picture and colors of this famous painting.

Bird of the Week: Turkeys!
Our Bird of the Week was the turkey! We explored fun facts about these amazing birds, and our class even got creative with their turkey drawings in their new bird journal. Our class will continue with our Bird of the Week exploration throughout the year, and at the end, they will have all their birds in one journal for them to look back on.
All About Me – Oscar’s Week
This week, Oscar was our “All About Me” He shared many interesting items and stories with the class. It was a joy to learn more about him! Take a look at the photos:

All About Me – Halima last Week
Last week, we learned all about Halima’s love for all her stuffed animals and the children enjoyed giving them all a squeeze. Take a look at the photos
